Real Sociedad de Fútbol, S.A.D. has Pellegrino Matarazzo in the dugout, Jokin Aperribay in the presidency, and an honours list headed by two La Liga titles and four Copa del Rey victories. Home football is played at the Reale Arena, which seats 40,000 in San Sebastián. A Supercopa de España and three Segunda División titles sit behind those headline trophies, and that record shapes the job Matarazzo handles.
Founded in 1909 in San Sebastián, Spain, the club answers to the nicknames Txuri-Urdin, La Real and Erreala. La Liga supplies the weekly opposition, and the league crown arrived in consecutive seasons. Six Gipuzkoa Championship wins, from the club's early decades, sit further back in a record now built on the top flight and the Copa del Rey.
