Christian Pulisic comes inside from the left. Once he faces a defender, he pushes the ball past them and goes; his first yards are the danger. Opponents double up and keep a full-back tight to stop the cut-back, so his best work arrives when he drifts central and picks a pass. The 27-year-old forward is left-footed but shoots early, which pulls blocks out of shape.
Pulisic plays for AC Milan in Serie A and has been there since 2023, with thirty-one goals in his Milan career so far. The United States captain carries the ball through the middle third and links with the striker; that combination of direct running and a quick final ball is why Milan keep him on the flank.
