MelissaVargas

Melissa Vargas offers Fenerbahçe's volleyball side a left-side or opposite outlet, and the 44 shirt marks a hitter who can attack from either pin. Reach defines her game: 1.94 m tall, she spikes at 3.26 m and blocks at 3.15 m. Rivals cannot crowd one antenna. Feed her high when the pass breaks down; she can hit through or over the block. Defenders must read her approach early because she adjusts in the air.

Vargas represents Turkey internationally and lists wing spiker and opposite spiker among her roles, with outside hitter as her category. Fenerbahçe is her current club; earlier career moves took her to VK Prostějov, Volero Zürich and Tianjin Bridgestone. Her role shifts with the rotation rather than staying fixed to one pin.
